Meet the Team

Meet Dr. Chang

Passion for Endodontics

Growing up in Jamaica, Dr. Chang knew she wanted to be a dentist from a young age. She shadowed a local endodontist and fell in love with relieving pain and curing disease. Working at the U.S. Veteran Affairs after dental school solidified her passion and confirmed her talent for endodontics.

Filling a Need

She recognized the lack of care for children under 12 and wanted to fill that need with Hero Endodontics.  A thorough evaluation is done on each kiddo to assess what treatment is best for him/her.

Education

She earned scholarships to The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, CT for high school and Rollins College for her bachelor’s degree in science. Continuing her education, she graduated with her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. During school, she established the first dental mission trip to Jamaica that has run since 2011. She completed her Endodontic residency at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry.

Dental Leadership

As one of nine residents, she was selected to serve on the Resident Expert Advisory Council for the American Association of Endodontics. She now serves on the Nominating Committee for the California’s Endodontic District Director and the San Joaquin Dental Society Board as Secretary.

Home Life

Dr. Chang loves spending family time with her husband, Rick, and their two daughters, Allie and Isabella. She is a certified yoga instructor and enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, wine-tasting, playing golf, traveling, and salsa dancing.
